Ross Valley Firefighters to Conduct Live Fire Training in Seminary Neighborhood May 27–29 and June 2–5
Ross Valley Fire Department has been given the opportunity to conduct live fire training exercises at 25 and 30 Kensington Court/Road in San Anselmo May 27 – 29 and June 2 – 5. The San Francisco Theological Seminary, along with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, has granted the department permission to conduct live fire training inside several structures slated for demolition. This opportunity provides our paid and volunteer firefighters a rare chance to create realistic, practical training exercises which accurately replicate true emergency situations.
If you see or smell smoke in the Seminary area during these days, please do not be alarmed. All live fire operations will be carefully planned and monitored, utilizing wood pallets and paper to construct the small fires for firefighters te extinguish in a controlled environment.
All training activities will be limited and conducted between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
If you have any questions, or if you would like further information, please contact Battalion Chief/Training Officer Dave Stasiowski at Ross Valley Fire Department, 415-258-4686.
