Fire Station 18 - Ross
Located at 33 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Ross, the historic Ross Fire Station was built by the Town of Ross in 1926. Fire Station 18's daily on-duty emergency response personnel consist of a Fire Captain and an Engineer/Firefighter. The station houses one first due Type 1 Fire Engine (structural firefighting) and a reserve Type 1 Fire Engine, which can be staffed by off-duty and volunteer personnel as needed. Additionally, the fire station houses the Ross Valley Paramedic Authority transport ambulance, Medic 18, staffed with two paramedic firefighters. With the expansion of the Ross Valley Fire Department JPA in July 2012 to include the Town of Ross, fire station 18 became part of the Ross Valley Fire Department.
Fire Station 19 - San Anselmo (Administration Office)
Located at 777 San Anselmo Ave. in downtown San Anselmo, Fire Station 19 is the Administrative headquarters for the Ross Valley Fire Department. As such, it houses the offices of the Fire Chief, Administrative Assistant and Fire Inspector. The administrative offices are open 8:00am to noon and 1:00pm to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, except holidays. An extensive remodel fo the fire station was completed in September, 2009. The daily on-duty emergency response personnel consists of a Battalian Chief, a Captain and an Engineer/Firefighter. The station houses one first due Type 1 Fire Engine (structural firefighting), staffed by the Captain and the Firefighter, one command vehicle used by the Battalian Chief and one reserve Type 1 Fire Engine which can be staffed by off-duty and volunteer personnel as needed.
Fire Station 20 - Sleepy Hollow
Located at 150 Butterfield Road in San Anselmo, Fire Station 20's daily on-duty emergency response personnel consists of a Captain and an Engineer/Firefighter, one of which may be a paramedic. The station houses one first due Type 1 Fire Engine (structural firefighting) and an additional Type 1 Fire Engine supplied by the State of California Emergency Management Agency(EMA). This fire engine, under agreement with the State, can be dispatched to any area in the State. Ross Valley Fire Department provides the personnel for this engine and is reimbursed by the EMA for personnel costs.
Fire Station 21 - Fairfax
Located at 10 Park Road in Fairfax, Fire Station 21's daily on-duty emergency response personnel consists of a Captain and an Engineer/Firefighter, one of which is a paramedic. The station houses one Type 1 Fire Engine (structural firefighting) and one Type 3 Fire Engine (wildland firefighting). The four wheel drive Type 3 Engine is utilized for wildland fire responses and responses that require driving off-road. It also serves as a reserve fire engine for off-duty personnel and volunteer firefighters.
