FLASH FLOODING IS OCCURRING - EVACUATION

UPDATE 8:18PM.  San Anselmo Ave remains closed.  Creek crested at 13.65 feed, 8 inches above flood stage.  Minor flooding occurred in downtown San Anselmo when the creek overflowed its banks.  Water level is now dropping, and expected to continue as rainfall rates slow.  

UPDATE: 7:45PM.  San Anselmo Ave is closed through downtown. Creek is at 13.5 feet, above flood stage.  Please avoid downtown, and stay on high ground.  

UPDATE: 7:00 PM.  LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING IS NOW OCCURRING IN SAN ANSELMO, FAIRFAX, AND ROSS!

  • Evacuate to Higher Ground Immediately! A Flash Flood is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect lives - it is too late to protect property!
