Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Fire at Fairfax Hot Tub Spa

Ross Valley Firefighters, assisted by Kentfield Fire Protection District and Marin COunty Fire Department quickly extinguished a Sunday night fire at a Fairfax Hot Tub Spa

The fire was reported at Frogs, 10 School St. Plaza, at 7:37 p.m., forcing evacuations of nearby businesses.  Firefighters attacked the fire aggressively, controlling it at 7:53 pm.

Damage is estimated at $60,000, and the cause is under investigation.

Upon arrival, Ross Valley firefighters found heavy fire conditions at the rear of the complex.  Their quick action limited damage to an exterior spa suite, a utility shed and spa equipment, before the fire spread to the main building and other businesses.
