Evacuation Drill June 29th, 2019 Information

On Saturday, June 29, 2019, the Ross Valley Fire Department and Fairfax Police Department and Marin County Sheriff Department will conduct an emergency drill – a local event that will help emergency preparedness efforts in YOUR neighborhood.

We want all residents in the Cascade Canyon and Sleepy Hollow Fawn Drive area (see specific streets to be notified below) to participate in this VOLUNTARY EVACUATION, which is held in cooperation with Marin County Fire Department, Marin County Sheriff’s Department and Office of Emergency Services.
This annual drill helps first responders assess the issues that may arise if such an activation became necessary due to a disaster, such as an earthquake or wildland fire.
The drill begins on Saturday, June 29th at 8:00 a.m. with an activation of the AlertMarin Emergency Notification System, which is like a reverse 9-1-1 dialing system that can be used to alert residents in the event of an emergency. If you have not signed up already, please do so prior to the drill at www.alertmarin.org.
