Roadway Vegetation Removal Project to Commence Summer 2010

Roadway clearance is essential to allow emergency vehicles to quickly and safely access the scene of a fire, while at the same time allowing residents to escape.  Federal funds from a National Fire Plan Grant awarded to the Town of Fairfax will be used to remove vegetation that overhangs the roadway and along roadsides in neighborhoods targeted for their relative wildfire hazard.  Licensed Contractors and Certified Arborists will complete the ongoing work over the next 18 months.

Residents with questions regarding the roadway clearance project may leave a message at 456-5652.  Calls will be returned promptly
