Another atmospheric river will bring periods of moderate to heavy rain to the Bay Area and Central Coast. Rivers and creeks are responding very fast to the rainfall due to the saturated soils and creeks already near bankfull. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued.
